New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

I believe every child deserves a great education, and each parent deserves a Trustee who will meet with them often and be responsive.  I want to close the education gap and ensure that our taxes are spent wisely. As a long time Westminster resident, the husband of a public school teacher, and parent to school age children, I am personally invested in the success of our schools.

I have demonstrated my commitment to Westminster through public service including:

WSD Reopening Schools Committee, WSD Safety Committee, WSD LCAP Committee, PTA Volunteer, Cub Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Westminster Homeless Task Force, City Commissioner, Community Services & Recreation, Volunteer School Crossing Guard, Youth Sports Coach and Referee, Saddleback Justice Task Force, Community Food Drive, Women of Worth for Girls

  • As a Management Consultant, I work with universities, non-profits, and corporations identifying and implementing comprehensive organizational improvements.

  • As a Trustee, I would use my expertise and your input to assess program efficacy, implement interventions to ensure the success of all students, and ensure budget transparency.

  • It is the role of the Board Member to ensure strong student-centered outcomes in a way that is financially prudent.

I will bring critical thinking, service-focused leadership, and collaborative solutions to the Board.

I have dedicated the past few years helping the Westminster School District and the Westminster Teachers Association implement dozens of initiatives for improvements.  Most recently, I held online meetings with parents to ensure that I understood fully their needs and opinions for reopening our schools this Fall during the Covid-19 pandemic.  I held meetings in English, Spanish and Vietnamese and brought forth diverse perspectives and a comprehensive plan for the WSD committee to consider.

I've sourced thousands of free masks and free food for our Senior Center, recommended and implemented the Adopt-A-Park program, ensured that our next city park will be designed specifically for children and adults with special needs, and wrote a comprehensive Code of Conduct & Ethics for our city.

I will ensure that ALL students receive a well-rounded education with superior programs and academics.  Each student has unique needs and I will ensure that each student receives the best education possible.  Many of our underrepresented student populations need a champion to help close the academic achievement gap, and I am the Trustee who will identify root causes and work with teachers and staff to implement programs for success.
